About Jeana

Jeana has a warm, approachable, informal style and is easy to talk to. She is able to put you quickly at ease and to allow you to feel relaxed and understood. Jeana helps in a step-by-step, supportive and motivational way. She helps adults, teenagers and children to change their negative beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours, into positive, successful happy ones.

From 1969 till 1973 Jeana gained a 4-year BSc Hons (2:1) in Psychology inc 1 year psychiatric hospital placement. In 1974 she gained a Post-Grad Dip Psychotherapy, then MSc Psychotherapy & CBT 1976. Followed by Psychotherapist within the NHS. In 1978 she joined the RAF as a Psychotherapist for 6 years, treating Army, Navy, RAF officers and other ranks, plus on-site families. In 1984 to 1989 she worked for a university and 6 GP practices. In 1989 she went into private practice in Berkshire, Surrey and Harley Street London. In 1997 she returned home to her family roots in Barnsley, where she worked for 1 university, 2 colleges and 1 hospital. Jeana started her current practice in Barnsley in Jan 2007, where she works full-time in this busy successful practice.

After an in-depth and very detailed Assessment, Jeana plans and delivers a made-to-measure best mix of: Hypnotherapy, Counselling, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), or Psychotherapy.
