An accomplished Ballet dancer in her youth, Marissa's dream of attending The Juilliard School came to an end after undergoing surgery to correct a 52-degree scoliosis curve. As a result of spinal surgery, Marissa dealt with chronic pain for years leading her to Yoga. Through her yoga practice, Marissa learned to heal from the deepest and tragic loss of her life, the loss of her husband & high school sweetheart of 26 years, resulting in a long crippling depression. Through this healing process, she became more enlightened to her Empathic gift and desire to help heal others. This new beginning guided her to study Reiki, Certified as a Usui, Holy Fire-Reiki Practitioner. Reiki then led Marissa to the over 40,000-year-old ancient art of Sound Healing & Certification as a Sound Healing Facilitator. Finally, everything came to fruition one day, while missing her late husband, and recalling the beauty they shared together using Hypnobirthing for the births of both their children. And so, she began to study Hypnotherapy realizing how very present her husband still is, thus guiding her towards her true path. Marissa received a Certification as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and continues to be hungry for a greater knowledge & understanding of this amazing work. Marissa's desire is to help others heal, guiding them to live life in the realm of "selflove" and helping them see their own inner strength & courage to not live in the realm of "fear."
