James Sargent T-LMHC

Hi there! I'm James, a pending Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in Des Moines, Iowa. I provide compassionate support and guidance to navigate life's challenges. I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, building on my Bachelor of Arts from Simpson College and my Associate Degree from Iowa Western Community College. My passion lies in supporting individuals dealing with ADHD in adulthood, LGBTQ+ and sexual mental health concerns, and trauma. I believe in tailoring my sessions to fit the unique needs of my clients, drawing from Gestalt therapy techniques, and incorporating hypnotherapy when beneficial. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for exploration and growth. I value mutual respect, trust, and collaboration. The client's well-being is my priority, and building a solid therapeutic alliance is critical to our work. Outside my practice, I'm deeply committed to promoting congruency in life, love, and death for all individuals. Love is Love, and everyone deserves the chance to live authentically and reach their fullest potential.
