About Gregory
I am a private practice Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) serving clients in and around the Fort Mitchell, Alabama and Columbus, Georgia areas, as well as online. As your therapist, it is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes growth and positive change, for you. I look forward to working with you to addresses your challenges and realize your goals. Therapy is a process that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the life you desire.
My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based practices, including: Psychodynamic/Supportive psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Narrative Therapy, and the Primary Identity Approach. I am also trained in Hypnotherapy, which helps clients retrieve and reprocess suppressed and dissociated traumas, and other issues that hypnotherapy can help with. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of successful therapy, and I strive to create a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients to reclaim their lives and live a fulfilling and meaningful life no matter what past experiences they have lived through and survived.
Additionally, there is a growing body of research that supports the practice of self-compassion and mindfulness in psychotherapy. Neuroscience research reveals individuals that practice these techniques are happier, more resilient, and better equipped to heal painful memories from the past. It is my honor and mission to help my clients move past what’s blocking them from reaching their full potential individually and in their relationships.
