Lynn Nelson LMHC, CRC

Lynn is a EMDR Certified therapist, and has been successfully using EMDR for treatment of trauma for over 20 years. She created The Holistic Mental Health Clinic to provide high quality mental health services to our community. She specializes in natural treatments for depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, trauma, divorce, loss of loved one, chronic pain and relationship problems. Lynn has extensive experience in the treatment of addictions and substance abuse as well as healing the underlying issues that often accompany the substance abuse problem. 

As a EMDR Certified therapist, she has successfully resolved trauma and PTSD symptoms for those who have suffered childhood sexual/physical abuse and neglect, traumatizing events such as serious motor vehicle accidents, loss of a loved one including a child, victims of violent crime and medical traumas such as cancer or other life threatening illness. She is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, completing over 100 hours of training in clinical hypnosis. She uses clinical hypnosis to address issues noted above as well as conditions such as addictions, anxieties, phobias, and weight loss.

To further to her holistic approach, as a Certified Amen Brain Health Coach she utilizes Dr. Daniel Amen’s Brain Health Method to address the conditions noted above. She further utilizes these advanced trainings to augment her therapeutic treatment to expertly integrate the mind, body and spiritual connections.

Lynn is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor which means she uniquely understands how mental health conditions affect business and careers.  She has extensive experience providing career guidance and counseling to adolescents and young adults as well as providing professional development for business professionals and entrepreneurs. 

Lynn received her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, 1999, and dual Bachelors’ Degree in Religious Studies and Psychology from the University of South Florida, 1995. Utilizing her Religious Studies background to round out her holistic approach, she individually works with each person assisting them with the practice and application of spirituality in their life for maximization of healing, health and wellbeing.
