"I'm so sorry, but I can't help you" I said with a heavy heart

I was in a newsagents and the cashier behind the till, started to tell me of her wows, her daughter has died 18 months earlier and her husband had fallen apart and turned to alcohol to cope, now to add to her distress, he had started to steal.  She wanted me to help her decide what to do.

This was not the first time, people had approached me and told me their life history and wanted me to help them, I suppose I'm just one of those people that people want to share things with. 

I was in the dressing room at C&A (now that's aging me) in Koln in Germany, when I German lady tapped me on the shoulder and wanted my option on her dress, I don't speak German, she didn't speak English, but that didn't stop her, she carried on talking away to me in German, I smiled and nodded to her voice tones, as the gesturing of "what do you think about the dress" had now changed into something else.  We hugged, she said Thank you (that I do know in German) and we parted ways. 

My sister-in-law said to me when I was about 18 / 19, you have such an old experienced head on your shoulders, I knew then that my destiny was to be the carer, listener, problem solver, the one with all the empathy. Even my nieces and nephews come to me, always have and I hope always will.

When I wasn't being offer a new role within the finance sector,  I realised now was the time to follow my life passion and turn to something new. Hypnotherapy training allowed me to help those people that seemed to come to me and I haven’t stopped since!
