My name is Karen, I am a qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor based in Cosby, Leicestershire.

Personal life experiences and my own journey through grief, loss, anxiety and depression has led me on a path of self-discovery, using different therapies along the way.

I decided to train in hypnotherapy and counselling in order to fulfil my passion for helping others reach their true potential.

Often the thing holding us back from achieving our goals or living our best life is something within. Negative self-beliefs, behaviours or thought processes that we have learned along life’s path are stored in our subconscious and although originally may have been useful to protect us from harmful situations they may have become unhelpful along the way, and are having a negative effect on your life. Hypnotherapy works by using a relaxed state of hypnosis that allows access to the subconscious where we can replace any negative thought patterns or beliefs with new positive thoughts and beliefs. In effect it is a form of reprogramming.

I offer a safe space for you to relax and feel at ease. I start by listening to your goals and finding out what is standing in the way of you achieving them. Getting to know you and your goals will help me to devise a treatment plan to work on the area’s that are holding you back.

Everyone is different and at Karen Plimmer Therapies you will be treated as the individual that you are. Everyone responds differently to hypnotherapy and so each treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs, I will work with you until you feel you have achieved your ideal outcome.
