Hello my name is Susan Kingdon (Suskin). I am founder and owner of Suskin Chrysalis Haven ®.

I am a certified and insured Holistic Health Practitioner, Life Coach, Self-Confidence and Empowerment Practitioner, Energy Healer, and Meditation Teacher. I specialise in women wellness facilitating healing, change and empowerment. 

My own healing and transformational journal began in 2002 following a health crisis which acted as a catalyst and wake up call for change. It is what at midlife led me to change my career to that of Holistic Healthcare. Throughout the past 22 years I have invested in myself in the form of self-care and applied everything I learned to myself first and foremost…in other words in practising what I preach, I took my own medicine, and I still do.

I had a long history of depression and anxiety, particularly social anxiety, due to past trauma and abuse. Being overweight, and bordering on obese, I have, for health reasons, had to lose weight. I suffer with chronic pain due to acquired spondylolisthesis (a spinal condition), and osteoarthritis. Having undergone my own healing journey, and weight loss journey, my own health issues have enabled me to have a better understanding of myself as I have had to work on myself, emotionally, mentally and physically. My own life experiences has also enable me to have an understanding of other people and has helped increase my empathy and compassion for others.

A little bit about my work background... I worked predominately in the corporate world, as filing clerk, administrator, secretary, account and purchase ledger assistant, and debt collector. As mentioned above, at midlife, I changed my career and trained in various modalities of Holistic Healthcare and Energy Healing. Today I have 22 years experience as an Holistic Health Practitioner. In 2019 I decided to drop massage therapies due to chronic pain so I trained in Hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (as these fall under the umbrella of Holistic Healthcare), and Life Coaching, with the intention that these modalities would enable me to work from home online whereby I could continue helping other people.

I used to be a negative thinking person. The best thing I ever did for myself was change my mindset, change my negative programming. I retrained my mind to think positively with the help of positive affirmations and positive self-talk, mindfulness and meditation, and most importantly self-hypnosis, as well as professional hypnotherapy. I learned to love, like and accept myself for the wonderful person I know as my truth. Hypnotherapy especially has been positively life changing for me personally, truly profound and transformative.

I am an avid lifelong learner so I am always invested in my continued professional development.
