About Glen
am a qualified Hypnotherapist based in Stotfold, Hertfordshire, with a lifelong passion for helping people create meaningful, lasting change.
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent 35 years working my way through the ranks at Royal Mail, eventually becoming a Senior Manager. During that time, I worked with people from many different backgrounds, roles and walks of life across the UK. This gave me a deep understanding of people, pressure, responsibility, communication and the many different challenges life can place in front of us.
Over the last several years, I have also worked with young people, vulnerable individuals and those experiencing emotional or mental health challenges through volunteering, youth work, youth offending support and related roles. These experiences have strengthened my listening, mentoring, coaching and therapeutic skills, and they continue to shape the calm, respectful and supportive way I work with clients today.
My journey into hypnotherapy came from a simple but powerful belief: people are capable of far more change than they often realise. Sometimes, what holds a person back is not lack of willpower or effort, but learned patterns, old responses, anxiety, fear, habits or beliefs that continue to run beneath the surface.
Hypnotherapy allows us to work with the subconscious mind, where many of those automatic patterns are stored. By using hypnosis in a safe, focused and supportive way, I help clients begin to change how they respond, feel and behave, so they can move forward with greater confidence, calm and control.
I firmly believe that positive change is possible when the mind is given the right conditions, the right support and the right direction.
Helping you make tomorrow better than yesterday.
“The real power to change lies within you, the client.”
“Knowledge is what we know. Imagination encompasses all there is to know.”
My Experience
Since qualifying, I have built over six years of professional practice supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, fears and phobias, confidence, self-esteem, smoking cessation, habits, emotional overwhelm, overthinking and unwanted patterns of behaviour.
During my original training, I completed over 80 hours of hypnotherapy sessions with clients presenting with issues such as fear of flying and smoking cessation. Since then, my experience has developed significantly through regular client work, continued professional development, and ongoing training in approaches such as hypnosis, counselling skills and The CONTROL System.
Over the past six years, I have worked with adults, young people and vulnerable individuals, both in person and online. My approach is calm, structured and client-centred, with each session tailored to the individual rather than delivered as a generic process. I believe that every client arrives with their own history, patterns, pressures and goals, and effective therapy needs to reflect that.
Client feedback across Google and Yell often reflects the values I aim to bring into my work: helping people feel safe, understood and at ease; creating a calming therapeutic environment; offering clear guidance; and supporting clients to feel more confident, calmer and more in control. Reviews describe clients feeling “completely at ease”, experiencing greater calm and clarity, and finding the sessions both relaxing and beneficial.
My work has included supporting clients with anxiety, overthinking, stress, fears, phobias, confidence issues and emotional patterns that have affected daily life. Public reviews also reflect improvements in confidence, self-esteem, anxiety reduction, fear responses and clients feeling more able to move forward in their lives.
I continue to place strong emphasis on professional development and regularly undertake CPD training to ensure that my knowledge, skills and therapeutic approach remain current and effective. This allows me to bring a flexible, informed and responsive approach to each client, combining professional structure with genuine care and respect for the individual.
My aim is always to help clients create meaningful, lasting change by working with the patterns that sit beneath the surface — not simply managing symptoms, but helping the mind and nervous system begin to respond differently.
Helping you make tomorrow better than yesterday.
Training & Qualifications
I trained with Chrysalis and obtained my Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills — Cert Hyp CS.
I am also a trained CONTROL Practitioner, having trained at the C-O-N-T-R-O-L Academy and completed the requisite 100 hours of study, satisfying all requirements recognised by the Academy. I was awarded the title of CONTROL Practitioner, with all honours and privileges pertaining thereto, and I am entitled to use the post-nominal letters CTRLPrac.
I continually undertake CPD training to ensure that my knowledge, skills and therapeutic approach remain current, informed and aligned with the latest techniques and developments within the field.
