About Heidi
Heidi Glynn graduated as a Registered Psychologist from Monash University in 2001 and provides services under Medicare and private insurance.
Heidi is passionate about providing services which optimise an individual’s personal fulfillment. She focuses on assisting individuals to commit to managing change within their lives and proactively drawing on their existing strengths and the development of new ones to walk pathways that may not always be clearly defined. She focuses on diagnostically assessing core values and beliefs to identify potential changes in behaviour that will be critical for growth and the achievement of professional and personal lifestyle goals.
Heidi is dedicated to assisting individuals to improve their overall well-being. She utilises a range of therapeutic approaches including Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focussed Therapy.
Heidi offers a tailored Gut-Directed hypnotherapy service to individuals with IBS and IBD to reduce gastrointestinal symptoms. It differs from other psychological therapies given that other approaches are aimed at the conscious mind. Heidi implements a BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL approach to improve quality of life and relief of symptoms. Specific techniques utilised are designed to influence gut function and assist clients to change the way the brain modulates their gut activity
Heidi also has a passionate interest in optimal performance in the sporting, work place and personal goal setting of her clients. She utilises a strengths-based assessment approach, goal alignment and ongoing feedback to ensure cognitive and behavioural strategies are maximised for individuals to not only achieve their optimum but create their desired future.
