I have worked in Education for 19 years as a lecturer, teaching and in my later career as an Educational Consultant for a Local Authority.  While doing this job I became aware of the difficulties many of us suffer with throughout our lives and especially the effects on the mental health of children and young people modern life can have.  Due to this I began to do training in Mental Health First Aid for young people (MHFA), Risky Behaviour in Young People, Growth Mindset, Trauma Training through Holyrood House, Thirsk, Grooming Awareness training through the Home Office, Caring for Children Moving Alone (Strathclyde University & United Nations) and Growth Mindset.

During lock down when I had time to rethink my career I decided to retrain and I did a DHP Hyp Acc through Hypnotic World and also studied through the Ali Campbell Academy to become a qualified Neuro Linguistic Programme Practitioner.  My career in this field is just beginning but with my long history of working with children and adults I have gained an understanding of individual needs and the importance of putting our desire to change or reset our life goals first.
