Clients have benefitted from sharing their concerns and difficulties with a warm, supportive and empathetic hypnotherapist who has previously suffered from depression and anxiety. Clients feel safe and therefore better able to explore as well as express their issues whilst working towards a better understanding of the cause of their distress and the resolution of their concerns within a gentle, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship. Those who suffer from stress, anxiety and panic attacks find themselves spending much more time alone at home and avoiding situations which trigger anxiety. Avoidance is one of the many behaviours associated with anxiety. Additionally clients who are depressed feel too exhausted to go out because depression reduces the amount of REM sleep and REM sleep is very important. I have helped many clients change their minds and change their lives and they have been very pleasantly surprised to see how much and how quickly they have changed and in so many ways they hadn't expected.
Do you struggle to relax and find it difficult to sleep? Many people who suffer from anxiety lay awake for hours with many thoughts flooding their minds and preventing them from sleeping. Some people feel so tired and low that they don’t have the desire or energy to do the things they used to enjoy. Anxiety has an enormous impact on many areas of people's lives and can manifest with people suffering from social anxiety, fear of intimacy, work performance anxiety and fear of using public transport. There are many people who suffer from fear of flying and haven't had a holiday in their favourite countries for a long time. For some, anxiety manifests with things such as over eating/under eating, headaches, OCD, IBS, skin problems and many more symptoms. Alcohol and other addictions can also be related to anxiety and depression and they perpetuate the problem. Many struggle to stop drinking alcohol and also to quit smoking.
Excess weight also impacts our self-esteem and energy levels? Hypnotherapy is a very effective way to solving the issues that cause people to over eat as well as help clients make the changes needed in order to reduce their weight. I have also used gastric band hypnotherapy to help people reduce their weight and enhance their self esteem.
Having a better self-esteem and peace of mind is fundamental as it affects all areas of our lives. Some people try to manage their problems by 'self-medicating' with alcohol and drugs but unfortunately that causes the problems to spiral into even worse problems. I have helped many get on top of their addictions, fears such as fear of flying, fear of speaking in public, audition and exam nerves. Additionally clients who have experienced trauma have found my service extremely helpful in moving on.. It has been my greatest joy working with and seeing clients change to live life they way they want and deserve.

About me: My low self-esteem and unhealthy beliefs developed during my traumatic childhood when I was brought up alongside domestic violence and mental health issues which ultimately meant I spent time in foster care when I was four years old. As a result, I left school without taking any exams and I wandered through life wondering when I would ever stop feeling like a slave to my emotions. I lacked career direction for a long time and I struggled to feel good about myself and my life. Eventually I experienced full blown panic attacks and suffered from depression whilst being bullied at work and harassed by an aggressive, unreasonable neighbour.
I spent some time having therapy and eventually found a great therapist who helped me change and replace the unhealthy beliefs which were downloaded as a child and throughout my life for healthier beliefs. This enabled me to stop the disturbing thoughts and unhealthy behaviours as I continued to grow from strength to strength while increasing my self-worth and confidence. Thus I was able to make big changes in my life including a career change from working in banking to becoming a successful, compassionate hypnotherapist who knows what it is like to suffer. I've gained the crucial experience and insight that has enabled me to help others change their minds and change their lives. While I had many years of therapy, my experience as a hypnotherapist has seen many clients change within a few sessions and this has been the most fulfilling and phenomenal experience of my life. I love my career and love helping others to enjoy a better quality of life. We are not here to suffer and it is so important to make the most of who we are and life life to the full.
How I can help you: The reason hypnotherapy enables quick results is because 90% of your mind is subconscious and that's where many unhealthy beliefs are held. Unhealthy beliefs can mean that people sabotage important areas of their lives and prevent them from living life to the full. Those unhealthy beliefs are at the root of unhealthy thoughts and behaviours. Hypnotherapy works directly with the subconscious mind and is incredible effective for making many changes at a root level for: Anxiety, panic attacks, unwanted habits, addictions and weight management as well as many many other difficulties. I am a qualified gastric band hypnotherapist and have had great results helping clients reduce their weight.
The subconscious mind is the part of our mind that ‘runs the show’; perhaps this makes sense to you because even though you have tried to stop certain thoughts, behaviours and habits, you can’t explain why that continues.
I use the philosophy and tools of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combined with hypnotherapeutic techniques such as regression, inner child work, parts therapy, past life regression as well as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Processing (EMDR) to help clients change their minds and change their lives.
During this difficult period where we socially distancing, I have been using skype to help clients online, in order to keep us safe and I have found working online to be extremely effective.
