About elaine
I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist (2012) and a trained counsellor/therapist (MA Counselling) with 20 years experience in providing therapy for a wide variety of clients across all age groups.
I am also an ex Nurse and Midwife.
I believe my therapeutic and past medical training enhance my Hypnotherapy practise providing a personalised and structured approach for my clients.
I strongly believe in the importance of a safe working therapeutic relationship in order to promote trust and confidence when working with my clients.
I am also employed as a Senior Counsellor (term time) at a local University where I also offer a Hypnotherapy service to students.

Training & Qualifications
Following my earlier career as a Registered Nurse and Midwife I initially qualified as a counsellor in 1993 then obtained a Post Grad Diploma in 1998 and finally an MA in counselling (CBT) in 2003
I added Hypnotherapy training to this and qualified in 2012 with a Post Grad Clinical Diploma in Hypnotherapy.
I am also a trained Hypno birthing therapist having trained with Katherine Graves in 2014.
I am an experienced therapist and regularly attend training events to keep all my skills up to date.
