Complete Guide to Self Hypnosis
What is your goal? Do you want to:
- Have more confidence, or
- Would you like to lose a couple of stone in weight?
- Perhaps you want to excel in your chosen sport or
- Write a best seller or
- Paint a masterpiece?
Well, I've news for you. You can do any of these things. In fact, how would you feel if I were to tell you that you can do ANYTHING that is humanly possible, when you put your mind to it.
You'd probably be forgiven for thinking I'm crazy. But wait a minute - what's actually stopping you from achieving your goals. Okay, you may not be able to run the marathon in ten minutes flat but you HAVE THE ABILITY to succeed - in anything that you put your mind to - provided of course that your goal is a realistic one.
So where's the catch (I can almost hear you say)? No, I'm not mad and I'm not making any rash promises. But think about it for a moment - what's actually stopping you from being the person that you want to be? You may be able to think of a dozen or so excuses but putting them aside for a moment I think you'll agree that the main stumbling block is yourself.
When we want something badly enough we usually go all out to get it. BUT, we humans can be very lazy - especially when the conscious mind comes into conflict with the subconscious mind.
The conscious mind reasons 'yes it would be nice to stop smoking/lose weight/give up gambling - etc. etc.' - whilst the subconscious mind is governed more by feelings, emotions and habitual behaviors and thinks 'no - it's easier and safer to stick to the old way of life that I know and am used to.'
There can be a multitude of reasons why the subconscious mind objects to change - and I'm not going to go into all those reasons right here and now, but if you are truly ready to set out on that marvellous journey of fulfilling your potential then let's draw up your individual plan for success RIGHT NOW.

Guide feedback and questions from hypnotherapists:
Over Hypnotise
To limit the subconscious mind is to limit the universe. I cover many things in one session sometimes taking them down a second deepener to layer the effects. My clients have fabulous results.
Overhypnosis
my impressions with hypnosis is to keep it simple and focus on main problem if there are more than a few focus on main issue first. If you try to overload the subconsciuos with too much I dont think this will be as effective as focusing on one issue. Sometimes ive noticed that by focusing on main issue seems to assist in dealing with other issues automatically. Hope this helps!
Over hypnotise
I've found that my clients tend to progress much faster when I cover one or two aspects at a time. When they return the following week their mind has processed and begun adopting the new behaviour patterns from the week previous.
Over-hypnotise?
can anyone tell me if it is possible to over-hypnotise (being completing and covering several aspects in a short space and time)? Are there any side effects from doing so or does it reduce the effectiveness of hypnosis?
