Somniphobia can occur after periods of stress and anxiety or it can simply be due to a change of routine. However, if your clients aren't getting enough sleep this can impact on their health as well as their everyday life.
A fear of going to bed can also be due to someone with insomnia who is afraid of being alone at night with their thoughts. Left untreated it can result in depression, irritability and physical and mental impairment.
This script uses a Control Room approach to help your client to overcome their fear and to help them value their sleep and find it easy to drop off to sleep when they go to bed.
