Maths Anxiety
Hello,
Has anyone worked with children under 10 (9-year-old in this case) who appear to suffer from Maths anxiety (anxiety started when child was 8)? There does not appear to be Dyscalculia but her knowledge seems to have dropped from their memory.
How would you approach this?

Faith, thank you for the suggestion! I saw the script but the child has gone through a detailed psychological assessment which concluded it was not dyscalculia. However there are some good aspects in the script that I can reuse.
Ashley, thank you very much too! That's a good point. According to the parents, nothing specific so this is going to be a challenge.

Hi Stephanie, there is a script for children with this issue. It is called dyscalculia but if you type the word math into the search engine it should show up.

I would start with finding out what was going on in the child’s life at the specific time the memory drop occurred.
