Are the hypnosis recordings effective if the client falls asleep during them?
Hi, I usually record the hypnotherapy session for my clients to listen to it. A client started listening to them at night and fell asleep about 10 minutes into it.
Do you know if the recording was still effective? She asked me if there is an issue with falling asleep during them

Falling asleep during a hypnosis recording doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ineffective, as relaxation and repeated listening may still be helpful. However, staying awake can make it easier to consciously follow the suggestions and exercises.

I agree. Yes the unconscious mind is always listening.

It is less effective if they fall asleep but not completely ineffective. Have the client sit or lie in a space while listening that is not a space they would typically sleep.

Your clients will hear suggestions on an unconscious level, however if they fall asleep every time then I'd recommend also listening at a time when they are less tired, so that their conscious mind can also benefit from the suggestions.
