Past life regression~ client is floating in the dark or can't give information
I have recently had several regression clients 'land' in darkness no matter what I do to guide them. The answer to most questions is 'I don't know'. Some have wound up in the woods with no idea where they are or why. Even with the 'go to a time that...(whatever)' suggestion, they wind up in darkness. Some see lights, but can't make out what they are. What is going on? Are they too deep, not deep enough? Any guidance here would be appreciated.

I start with a bright light deep relaxation from top of head to tips of toes and fingers. I explain to them that the bright light will follow every face and body part I mention. It’s also worth mentioning using the law of reverse reaction , after bringing the light , I will bring the dark in focusing on it so hard that it goes white and then suggesting , if they try to think of the dark they couldn’t.

Your clients may be using different representational systems so if you ask them to 'sense, hear or experience' what is around them, you may get responses.

I had a client that was "in the dark" turned out she was a baby in a cot in the nighttime. So couldn't "see" or "Hear" anything going on to speak of. Her anxiety was about being left alone.

You could first ask if someone can look at their feet and from there look further at their surroundings. And otherwise through other representation systems? If it is really dark and stays then someone usually comes out in the womb is my experience.

Hi when I have done regressional work and there is only darkness - black - and nothing else, aromas, feelings, sounds etc my take on this is that the subconscious is not ready to go there. I have then done further hypnotic work with the client and then retried some weeks later and we get the answers. So now I don't do regression work until the 3 - 4 th session and I know they have been practising relaxation recordings I have sent them. I feel then they are set up ready to go deep and be receptive.

Yes, all of these replies are quite valid. However, sometimes a client has energy attachments that need to be removed before being "allowed" into a past life by it's Higher Self. They could even be going back to the womb where it's dark. I'd tell them, "yes, continue, even if you feel like you're making it up, what are you sensing." Not everyoneis visual so you may need to rely on other senses. Sometimes in addition to visual and if they aren't visual at all, you will certainly need to rely on other senses.
