Analytical clients failing convincers

I have a very analytical client who also has slight adhd, I am having a tough time with getting to the root causes of the issues she is having because when I get her into a nice deep state and start to do the work she questions her depth of hypnosis. Usually this is where I would simply employ a convincer and be on my way and move along, But this particular client fights all of the convincers I have in my tool chest Eye catalepsy works but the rest she struggles to "disprove" but eventually does. has anyone else experienced this or does any one have any stronger convincers for more analytical clients?

I have had one or two clients similar, and basically they are not good subjects for Hypnosis, so I would let them know that if they are not willing to surrender to the process, you can't work with them, OR just let them know that this is a form of resistance within them because possibly the changes they are not ready for. I just let them know it works regardless of their attempts and soon enough, they are experiencing profound changes they never thought possible.

Normally I let the analytical client count back from 100 to 0 in quarters apply the RIchard Of York Gave Battle In Vain representing the colours of the rainbow. Each part of each value except the line vir the quarter value, needs to be a different colour of the rainbow and once violet is used the client starts with Red again going through the colours of the rainbow. I leave the suggestion that it is okay to forget to remember or remember to forget what comes next because when that happens on can simply triple the trance state or restart from 100. Once the client starts counting I apply confussion emphasising that the Subconscious mind is always in control which means the conscious mind can relax as the body relax more and I then suggest parts of the body relax. When sufficient trance is evident, I suggest that the client go back to the last SPE, and from there I suggest that the client utilise the negative emotion to go further back to a prior SPE until I confirm ISE. The client always display Abreactions. For anchoring on the highest positive emotion, I follow the same processes but this time suggest that the client allow positive emotions to guide him/her back to the absolute high light. Again the client always display abreactions.

@carol I agree that some clients are not as good of clients as others, however; I don't think anything is not achievable.
I do believe that there are parts of certain clients that want change and other parts that are holding them back and might not want the change for one reason or another. That is where we can use "parts therapy" but the problem is not that she doesn't want the change she just fights the convincers and test as a result of her being analytical and wanting to truly test them.

@PIerre I believe I am going to Try the approach of " Seeing as though you are very analytical such as my self I have been thinking of solutions that might work for me and other people like us. If you are anything like me and I believe that you are you don't like to fail, you didn't come her and pay me to fail and I didn't start working with you to fail . So in todays session I would like for you to stop trying to over analyze things and forcing the fail on yourself inadvertently resulting in a failure for me as well. Today just try to relax and not test the limits of your body to the point that you have in past sessions, just allow yourself to pass the test because you know that you can not because you want to beat them out of sheer willpower and knowing that you can if you truly want to. instead just desire them to work and allow them to work we are only using them to check for depth of hypnosis anyway. So just relax and allow them to indicate to me the information I need them to indicate so we can get to the true core of why we are her."

Absolutely William. I HATE failure! Suggesting: "So in today's session, I would like for you to stop trying to overanalyze things and forcing the fail on yourself inadvertently resulting in a failure for me as well. Today just try to relax and not test the limits of your body to the point that you have in past sessions, just allow yourself to pass the test because you know that you can not because you want to beat them out of sheer willpower and knowing that you can if you truly want to. instead, just desire them to work and allow them to work we are only using them to check for depth of hypnosis anyway. So just relax and allow them to indicate to me the information I need them to indicate so we can get to the true core of why we are here." this is awesome. Yet still, there is a right and wrong way to approach analytical people who need to be approached differently from non-analytical clients. Getting the analytical client's conscious mind occupied while using confusion is fail prove.

How about reminding the client that all hypnosis is self hypnosis, you are simply the guide, so to resist is to resist herself. You might let her know that the therapy can work without a hypnotic trance, simple a relaxed state. A metaphor might help along the way, such as a little girl who needed her bad teeth cleaning but refused to open her mouth... hope you will come back with feedback on how it goes :)

Hi there!
I think I would use some reverse psychology with the languaging of the convincer she's trying to resist, go along with it and tell her she's doing it perfectly, and that's causing her to go deeper and deeper...
