Fear of Sleep

In 13 years I've not had this enquiry before, fear of sleep (i.e. fear of falling asleep,he's not an insomniac as such). 19 year old. Anyway, does anyone have any script suggestions? I only do suggestion therapy (he's having some sort of talking therapy at the moment anyway apparently, I've not met him yet). Thank you

Re: Fear of Sleep

Hi, I’d say be very cautious about treating him to be honest. It sounds like he may have underlying mental health issues. Complex trauma and ptsd spring to mind. Maybe ask to speak with his therapist before doing anything with him.
Good luck!

Re: Fear of Sleep

Hi Carey He does indeed have PTSD which he told me before we met. He is a complicated young man and I've made it quite clear he needs to carry on with his therapy and that I can only help him for a 2 or 3 sessions. Thank you
