Mobile Phone's

I have a client that always wants the latest mobile phone. Every time iPhone or Samsung launch their latest mobile phone - my client wants to purchase it. In other words he gets a new phone every 6 months. Why? Because he feels that the new phone will be better!? Can anyone help with this? I was thinking it would come under addictions / or never being happy/satisfied?

Fear of missing out, perhaps.

Maybe once your client is in a trance state you could create a metaphor around "personal validation" and let your client find a solution. This of course assumes that buying a new mobile every 6 months is a problem for your client,
