Panic attack
Hi,sorry if I'm re posting this,I lost my way ,
A young lady rang to say she was having a panic attack on the hard shoulder of the motorway
She also had a young child with her
I told her to remember she had had these before and always come through them
And to take some really deep breaths slowing her breathing
Only if it was safe was she to join the motorway again, turn on the radio and follow traffic in the slow lane to the exit.
Difficult one on spur of moment, what would others have done here, besides calling emergency services which I mentioned if she was too bad to drive
Thanks folks

I don't think you could of done anything else. Did you get her in pronto? a driving phobia is one of the most common types of phobia.Perhaps she was involved in an incident previously which has caused this?
