Hi I wondered if anyone had any good information on how to construct a parts therapy session. I'm treating a client for alcoholism & she is doing very well but I feel there's something more I need to get to the bottom of.Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi Catherine, you can start by telling your client that we are all made up of parts and there is a part of her that is responsible for certain actions/etc. Ask her to get in touch with that part (give it a name) and gain permission for it to come forward. Follow this with the part that would like to do . . . (however your client wants to be, etc;.) and have the parts negotiate a solution. It's a bit like bargaining. It is sometimes desirable to 'integrate' the parts but you nee to play this very much by ear. If you're still not sure how to proceed you could check the following script as this uses Parts Therapy: www.hypnoticworld.com/hypnosis-scripts/habits-disorders/trichotillomania-hair-pulling (but it's for a different problem)

I would endorse Daphne's recommendation. You can find the book here. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hypnosis-Inner-Conflict-Resolution-Introducing/dp/1904424600/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512988193&sr=8-1&keywords=roy+hunter+parts+therapy
