This first  takes you through a brief history of hypnosis and introduces you to the subconscious mind and an understanding of Freud's theory of character formation. You will learn to recognize some of the subtle signs of hypnosis and we take you step by step through a first session of hypnosis. In addition you will gain an understanding as to how the subconscious mind accepts suggestions and how to bypass conscious awareness when communicating in hypnosis. Included with Module One is a Glossary of Hypnotic Terms and an Understanding Hypnosis CD.

Module Two guides you through three sessions of analysis and shows you how to recognize and deal with transference, resistance and abreactions. We take a more in-depth look at formulating suggestions and the language and tonal modality that we use in hypnosis, examining several inductions, both direct and permissive. There is also a section on brain wave patterns and methods of interpreting dream material to monitor progress with unconscious conflict.

This  explores the issues behind obesity and looks at ways of helping clients to gain control of their weight. Other problems highlighted include lack of confidence and the effects of child abuse and the use of Inner Child Techniques to help in these areas. We also examine Jung's psychological types and the process of Parts therapy to integrate conflicting aspects of the personality.

In Module Four we examine Pain Control techniques and the application of hypnotherapy for various disorders, e.g. arthritis, drug addiction, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, IBS, depression, childbirth, stuttering and more. Two further audiio recordings that are included with this  examine induction styles by various well known therapists and a personal recording entitled 'Confidence for Therapists' is designed to increase your own self confidence as you move closer to your new career goal.

Module Five explores Regression and Progression and the subject of False Memory Syndrome; Memory, Concentration, Learning, Sport and also Stress Management (amongst other subjects). There are a few different areas here which you can specialize in. We also take a look at Deep Trance Identification and Dr Shapiro's unique process of EMDR with victims of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

This  explores lots of different induction techniques, including some excellent ideas for therapeutic use with children. If you are able to take advantage of the offer, you can also attend the practical training offered with the Course, once you reach this stage.
